What Has AI Done to Claims? Smith to Provide Answer at Agent Event

Claims expert Branson Smith has agreed to deliver the opening keynote address at the inaugural AI Dealer Agent Conference, offering agents an insider’s look at how AI is transforming claims and warranty administration, organizers announced.
The three-day event kicks off on the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Midtown Atlanta. Smith, a 15-year industry veteran who serves as chief revenue officer for PCMI, will present “AI in Claims: What’s Actually Working (and What’s Still Hype)” at 9 a.m. Thursday.
“Delayed, denied and unpaid claims put pressure on agents, a frustrating and unfair dynamic that corrodes every link in the admin-agent-dealer-customer chain,” says show chair and longtime publisher David Gesualdo. “Agents want to know what AI can do and is doing to help, and we are counting on Branson to get us up to speed.”
Smith says he will offer a “practical framework” to explain where and how product and platform providers are putting AI to work and what agents need to know to position themselves, their agencies and their dealer clients to take advantage.
“AI without a deterministic core isn’t intelligence, it’s a black box making decisions you can’t defend.”
