DealerLytix Inventor Wants to Put a Genius in Your Dealership

At 26, Abdel Alnubani has much of his career in front of him. But he also has a lot behind him: Alnubani started selling vehicles at Land Rover Redwood City (Calif.) at age 18 and, after moving south to Newport Beach, stepped up to selling Lamborghinis, Ferraris and Bugattis, among other exotic and supercar brands, to well-heeled clients from Orange County and beyond.
But Alnubani was “distracted” by his customers’ tales of entrepreneurship and prosperity, many of them in the tech world. “I would rather be the guy buying the supercar,” he decided.
The sales professional-turned-inventor would develop two ideas simultaneously: The first was ComplaintBox, where users post complaints about — and solutions to — all of life’s problems. The second was DealerLytix, a new inventory management tool designed to help users quickly identify whether and how quickly a given pre-owned unit will sell at their dealership.
Advanced Intelligence
DealerLytix was designed to work at the dealership, in the lanes and on the go, performing three core functions: assigning an “AI Vehicle Score” as part of the appraisal process, producing rich data such as KPIs and predictive insights, and providing an AI assistant users can interact with and ask questions of.

The software’s ability to perform all three tasks increases with time, so Alnubani encourages new users to feed it historical data.
“Upload your inventory sheet for the last 30 days, two years or longer, and the AI will learn everything it needs to know,” he says. “It’s like having a genius that’s always at the dealership.”
AI Made It Possible
Alnubani built DealerLytix with the help of Replit, a service that uses AI to help developers build and code websites. He then asked friends at multiple dealerships to pilot the solution before launch.
His testers loved the concept and provided useful feedback, he says.
“The most common thing they said they liked was the speed to make a decision. At auction, they only have 30 seconds to a couple minutes. That’s enough time to plug in the details and get your score.”
